Summary:A Delivery Pipeline Architect or Delivery Engineer at the Architect level is responsible for architecting, designing, and leading the implementation of end-to-end software delivery pipelines, ensuring robust, scalable, and automated solutions across teams and environments. Expected to have deep technical expertise with leadership to define and optimize architecture, tools, and practices for high-quality, rapid software delivery. Role OverviewLead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly automated software delivery pipelines (CI/CD).Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, operations, and business stakeholders to define vision, goals, and success criteria for delivery processes.Serve as a technical advisor and architect for software deployment, infrastructure, security, compliance, and disaster recovery initiatives.Define and ensure adoption of best practices in DevOps, automation, and continuous delivery across the organization.Mentor engineers and teams on architecture patterns, tooling decisions, and pipeline governance. Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement end-to-end delivery pipelines utilizing best-in-class CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).Lead technical design for containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), IaC, and cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Evaluate, recommend, and integrate automation, monitoring, security, and compliance solutions into pipelines.Develop and document architecture standards, reference implementations, and playbooks.Facilitate architecture reviews and technical communication with executive stakeholders Analyze requirements, develop solution alternatives, and communicate risks, opportunities, and resource needs.Stay current with industry trends in DevOps, DevSecOps, and infrastructure advancements, and champion continuous improvement. Professional and Technical SkillsExtensive experience architecting and delivering complex, automated software pipelines in large and/or agile organizations.Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, containerization, and orchestration platforms.Mastery in scripting and automation languages (Shell, Python, etc.) as part of pipeline implementation.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive consensus, and deliver technical solutions at scale.Deep understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory aspects of automated deployments.Effective communication, documentation, and presentation skills, especially with executive stakeholders.Good to have knowledge in Salesforce, Workday and data Integration Platforms Good to have exposure on Demonstrated success in engineering and solution architecture roles.Continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on metrics, DORA performance, and operational excellence.Willingness to mentor and coach teams, set guidelines, and influence architectural direction organization-wide.
