What youll be doing... Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs using Java, TestNG, Selenium, WebDriver, Cucumber, and other relevant tools. Continuously enhance and optimize test automation frameworks to improve efficiency, coverage, and overall effectiveness. Conduct manual testing as needed, especially for complex scenarios where automation is not feasible. Execute test cases to verify software functionality, performance, and compatibility across platforms. Develop and execute tests for RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured and SOAP UI. Validate APIs for functionality, performance, and security across different environments. Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins. Ensure automated test execution as part of the continuous integration process, providing feedback to the development team. Perform load testing, stress testing, and performance testing using tools like JMeter. Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and work with developers to optimize application performance. Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira). Work with the development team to ensure timely resolution and retesting of reported issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA team members. Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and practices. Create, update, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Document test results and ensure thorough reporting of test coverage and defect status. Experience in utilizing Splunk for monitoring and analyzing logs in real time, allowing for quick identification of issues. Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and ensure correct database interactions during testing. What were looking for We are looking for a QA Automation/SDET Engineer with 4 - 6 yrs of experience, to automate tests and validate APIs (both customer-facing and back-end), web applications, and UI workflows for IoT device connectivity and management. The role involves developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and other relevant tools. Candidates are expected to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the functionality, performance, and reliability of IoT solutions. Collaboration with development teams will be key to driving testing initiatives and ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will need to have: Programming Skills: Proficiency in Java; knowledge of Python and JavaScript is a plus. Test Automation Tools: Experience with TestNG, Selenium, WebDriver, and Cucumber. API Testing: Familiarity with Postman, RestAssured, SOAPUI or other API testing tools. CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline. Version Control: Proficient in Git for version control and collaborative development. Database: Strong understanding of SQL. Performance Testing: Experience with JMeter or similar performance testing tools. Web Technologies: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices.
