English/German/French/Spanish/Japanese Language Trainers

Purpose of the Role:

The Language Trainer will be responsible for training primarily nursing candidates in foreign languages required for international healthcare employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured foreign language training (e.g., German, IELTS/English, Japanese, OET, Arabic, etc.) tailored for nurses seeking overseas placements
• Prepare candidates for language proficiency tests
• Conduct regular assessments to track learner progress and provide constructive feedback
• Adapt teaching methods to suit adult learners with clinical backgrounds
• Integrate cultural orientation and professional etiquette relevant to the destination country
• Maintain training records, attendance, and performance reports
• Collaborate with program coordinators and placement teams to align training outcomes with overseas employer requirements

Job Specification

Educational Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Languages, Education, Linguistics, or a related field

Certification in the relevant foreign language (mandatory), such as:

• German: B2 / C1
• English: IELTS / OET / TEFL / TESOL / CELTA
• Japanese: JLPT (N2 or above)
• Other languages: Equivalent recognized certification

Experience

Minimum 13 years of experience in language training or teaching adult learners

Skills & Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in the target language and English
• Ability to simplify complex language concepts for non-language professionals
• Effective classroom management and learner engagement skills
• Assessment and feedback skills
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness of international work environments
• Basic proficiency in using digital learning platforms and online teaching tools

Preferred (Added Advantage)

Familiarity with licensing and language requirements of countries such as Germany, UK, Japan, Middle East, Australia, or New Zealand
