You will be responsible for translating video script content from Japanese to English with precision and cultural sensitivity. Your core responsibilities will include: - Reviewing and modifying machine translation while keeping the video sentence length intact. - Conducting thorough research to maintain accuracy in translations when faced with unfamiliar terminology or industry-specific jargon. - Demonstrating a deep understanding of Japanese and English languages and culture to ensure contextually relevant and culturally appropriate translations. - Effectively coordinating with the team of editors for sentence length related issues. - Modifying the translated text according to the machine voice recording length and supporting editors to achieve the desired audio output length. - Working closely with other team members, editors, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate translations. - Being open to feedback and continuous improvement. - Implementing quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality translations. - Regularly reviewing and updating translation glossaries and style guides.
