Engineering Manager - Oracle Database

Role Overview: At NAB India, as a Senior Database Administrator in the Midrange and Engineered Platforms team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical leadership and support for on-premise Oracle Engineered Systems appliances, including Exadata and Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliances, as well as associated Oracle Databases. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a resilient and highly available environment, monitoring the health of all environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager, managing incidents, problems, changes, vulnerabilities, and non-compliance tickets in line with NAB's Service Management framework. You will also drive innovation, improvements to the patching process, and contribute to technology roadmaps and strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership for Oracle Engineered Systems appliances and associated Oracle Databases - Maintain a resilient and highly available environment adhering to the bank's compliance framework and risk policies - Drive innovation and improvements to the patching process for faster and safer remediation of vulnerabilities - Support the Database Product Owner by contributing to technology roadmaps and strategy - Manage risk across platforms and ensure a low-risk profile - Ensure all supported platforms are maintained at an exceptional grade of service - Deliver value to the bank's customers through secure and available systems - Work with key stakeholders to ensure systems comply with compliance framework and risk policy requirements - Drive simplification and hyper-standardization to lower management costs and improve consolidation - Ensure high-quality change management with a high success rate of implementation - Drive event analysis and reduction to prevent future incidents - Collaborate with technical experts to deliver a cohesive and standardized environment - Identify and resolve roadblocks in collaboration with asset teams - Foster knowledge sharing and mentor other team members to uplift team capabilities Qualifications Required: - 14+ years of experience managing Oracle Engineered Systems, including Exadata and Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliances - Experience with cloud-based applications - Ability to provide technical consultation in the area of expertise - Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making - Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills - Strong delivery focus with an active approach to quality and auditability - Ability to work under pressure and excel in a fast-paced environment - Ability to self-manage tasks, guide, and mentor other team members (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
