Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development and customization of our Enterprise Learning Management SaaS platform. This role will oversee a team of full-stack developers, coordinate custom client implementations, and ensure high-quality delivery using a modern Microsoft stack (.NET 8, Azure, SQL Server, REST APIs). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in enterprise software systems and experience managing teams in a fast-paced, customer driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of full-stack developers (front-end & back-end).
• Allocate resources effectively to support ongoing product development and client-specific customizations.
• Conduct performance reviews, foster growth, and uphold development best practices.

Technical Oversight

• Provide architectural guidance for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems using .NET 8, Azure, and SQL Server.
• Oversee the development and integration of RESTful APIs.
• Ensure platform reliability and maintainability through robust engineering and DevOps processes.

Customization & Delivery

• Manage and prioritize customer-specific platform customizations, ensuring alignment with core product strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Implementation teams to define technical solutions for customer requirements.
• Oversee timelines, scope, and quality of deliverables for both platform development and enterprise level implementations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams including Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Product.
• Support pre-sales activities by advising on technical feasibility and customization efforts.

Process & Quality Management

• Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, data security, and privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, GDPR).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise
• Proficient in .NET 8 / C#, SQL Server, and REST API design.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, etc.).
• Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.

Leadership & Communication

• Proven track record of leading software engineering teams (510 developers).
• Strong project management skills with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.
• Experience in EdTech or enterprise SaaS platforms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Blazor.
• Experience with customization frameworks or plugin-based architectures.
• Exposure to learning standards (SCORM, xAPI) or LMS integration (LTI, SSO).
