Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers delivering scalable PaaS solutions using

  Kubermatic

  , Kubernetes, and cloud-native tools
• Design and implement intelligent platform capabilities powered by

  Generative AI

  models
• Drive platform reliability, security, and automation across environments
  
• Collaborate with product, AI/ML, and DevOps teams to deliver high-impact features
  
• Mentor and guide team members in technical and architectural decisions
  
• Ensure timely delivery of projects, sprint planning, and engineering excellence
  
• Stay up to date with industry trends in PaaS, K8s, and AI and apply them to product roadmap
  
• Define KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure technical scalability
  

Required Skills:

• 58 years of overall experience in software/platform engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  
• Strong hands-on experience in

  Kubernetes

  ,

  Kubermatic

  , and containerized environments
• Solid understanding of

  Platform-as-a-Service

  architectures and CI/CD automation
• Practical knowledge of implementing or integrating

  Generative AI

  solutions (LLMs, APIs, model orchestration)
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Helm)
  
• Strong communication, team management, and decision-making skills
  
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional and remote teams
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AI model lifecycle management (MLFlow, Vertex AI, or Hugging Face)
  
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices and observability tooling
  
• Familiarity with service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and API gateways
  
• Knowledge of data pipelines or MLOps frameworks is a plus
  

Education:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
