Engineering Manager, Backend

As an Engineering Team Manager, your role involves managing, coaching, and developing an engineering team to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and direction. You will oversee the timely delivery of new features with high quality and collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders to assess engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, scalability, and time-to-market for products. **Key Responsibilities:** - Inspire and motivate multiple cross-functional product teams - Directly manage Engineers in multiple teams - Nurture, grow, and develop engineering talent within the team - Handle Technical Incident Management - Develop software applications - Implement Continuous Quality and Process Improvement - Act as a thought partner for Product to define, shape, and deliver the roadmap - Provide Architectural Guidance - Drive innovation within your team **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced and complex environment - Experience working with large scale distributed systems, highly available APIs, and products impacting millions of customers - Proficiency in cloud technologies, with experience in AWS being a plus - Strong people management skills and ability to handle complex people issues - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience - Strong business and technical vision - Proficient in incident management and software development, with a track record of shipping software - Familiarity with Docker, Hadoop, Kubernetes, Protobuf, Kafka, and GraphQL is advantageous - Proactive, flexible, and adept at working independently or in a team - Excellent interpersonal skills - Strong work ethic, self-directed, and resourceful - Solution-oriented and result-driven,
