Engineering Leader - Products and Platforms

You will be responsible for leading the Engineering Leader-Products and Platforms role at Eaton India Innovation Center in Pune, India. Your primary focus will be on shaping the RDE portfolio for ES EMEA Central Engineering group, with strategies centered around Controls, Emergency Lighting & Fire portfolio, Critical Power Systems, VAVE, and Engineering common processes. You will also work on building synergies between various BU products, developing product strategies, driving cost reduction projects through VAVE, and collaborating with team members for New Product Developments, Cost out, sustaining, and application engineering projects. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in hiring and developing talents for ES-EMEA business, leading innovation for new products and Technologies, and defining a strategic roadmap for building a strong breakers team and RDE portfolio. Key Responsibilities: - Lead diverse product teams from EIIC location to achieve short and long-term goals - Utilize EIIC Lab and Prototype infrastructure to accelerate launches of key NPI/NTI programs - Drive growth in capabilities in Electromechanical, Embedded design, and adjacent technology areas - Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring for Engineers and related COE team at EIIC - Synergize engineering capabilities, manage department budget, recruit and retain a team of engineers, and develop subordinates - Control project schedules, monitor progress, and provide regular reports on development activities - Utilize DFSS & Agile concepts/tools for new product development and drive Functional excellence - Communicate stakeholder requirements to other Eaton teams and act as the liaison for program activities Qualification Required: - BE/ME in Mechanical/Electronics, Electrical Engineering - 18 to 20 years of R&D experience - Minimum 10+ years of experience in coaching & mentoring people Please note: The revenue numbers of the product basket that the role is responsible for engineering development sum up to $1.5B.,
