Engineering Head Millwork & Doors

You will be leading the Engineering & Drawings Department at Quba Homes, a luxury furniture and millwork brand. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every technical drawing for millwork and doors meets Quba's design standards and quality. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing and approving shop drawings, joinery details, and sectional elevations for all projects. - Ensuring technical drawings align with design intent, manufacturing constraints, and installation feasibility. - Coordinating with Design, Production, and Site Execution teams for technical clarity. - Creating and maintaining engineering standards and a library of joinery details. - Verifying BOMs, hardware compatibility, and material specifications. - Conducting feasibility checks for new design concepts and mentoring CAD engineers/draftsmen. - Liaising with vendors for hardware, fittings, and materials integration. - Ensuring version-controlled drawings and digital archiving for traceability. - Collaborating with the Factory team to resolve technical issues and enhance manufacturability. Qualifications required for this role include: - B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Interior Engineering. - 8-12 years of experience in engineering of millwork, doors, or interior joinery with a luxury or high-end brand. - Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp (preferred), and technical detailing. - Expertise in joinery, hardware systems, tolerances, and wood-based furniture manufacturing. - Ability to interpret architectural drawings into precise manufacturing details. - Knowledge of materials such as ply, HDHMR, veneer, PU, laminates, and hardware. - Experience in coordinating with site, production, and design teams for execution alignment. - Excellent documentation, communication, and leadership skills. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical accuracy and feasibility of all millwork and door projects at Quba Homes, contributing to the brand's reputation for precision and luxury craftsmanship.,
