Engineering Drawing Checking

As a Mechanical Engineer in this role, you will have the following responsibilities: - Review design layouts/3D models to understand how the product functions. - Verify assembly drawings and piece part drawings to break down the product definition. - Collaborate effectively with the engineering design team. - Ensure Engineering notices are accurately filled out and contain all necessary information. - Provide guidance to design control personnel on potential problems during the design review phase. - Check and address redesigns resulting from field problems. - Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, technical know-how, and accountability. - Stay self-motivated while also being a valuable team player. - Communicate effectively with team members. - Develop standard work instructions, deploy and update best practice process documents, and templates for complex drawings. - Offer advice to design control engineers on potential issues related to form, fit, and functional errors during the product design phase. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. - 5 to 8 years of experience in Engineering. - Proficiency in Creo 4.0 detailing and modeling practices. - Working knowledge of PLM Tool, preferably Windchill. - Background in drafting and technology. - Strong expertise in sheet metal design manufacturing processes.
