Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Translate new designs, sketches, concepts, prototypes, and existing products into complete engineering drawings.
Create drawings with detailed specifications including dimensions, joinery methods, materials, tolerances, hardware, and surface finishes.
Produce high-quality 2D drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D models/assemblies (SolidWorks) with precision.
Ensure compliance with Duroflex drafting standards, quality norms, and industry benchmarks.
Work closely with the internal Design, Engineering, Production, QA, and NPD teams to refine drawings and resolve technical queries.
Support prototyping and pilot production by providing drawing clarifications and revising designs as needed.
Maintain an organised digital repository of all drawings, versions, and engineering change notes.

Preferred candidate profile

AutoCAD: Strong hands-on working experience (mandatory).
SolidWorks: Mandatory for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed engineering.
Deep understanding of GD&T, joinery systems, materials (wood, metal, foam, fabrics), and furniture construction methods.
Excellent visualization and spatial reasoning.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment with cross-functional teams.
