Specification and implementation of grid/transmission system modelling as well as SVC and STATCOM system modelling in most common simulation environment (PSCAD, PSSE).
Performing of various power system studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability and switching transients, insulation coordination, simulation of temporary and transient overvoltage stresses on equipment and surge arrester energy ratings.
Developing scripts to automate execution and analysis of simulations
Co-operation and collaboration with the ITO (sales) team to understand and being able to find the most feasible solution that customers are seeking for.
Support in technical tendering, review and approve technical specifications, plans and estimations.
Support in research and development tasks in the field of FACTS NPI. Organize and participate in innovation workshops, contribute in patent applications

Required qualifications

A bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with advanced level of experience in power system study and modelling of electrical network
Design experience in HV and MV applications with good knowledge of electrical/power engineering.
Understanding of power system analysis (e.g. system performance analysis and grid code compliance studies).
Experience on simulation tools (PSCAD, DigSilent, PSS/E, ATP or similar).
Strong oral and written communication skills in English

Desired qualifications

Proficiency in PSSE /PSCAD simulation tools will be an added advantage.
Experience in international projects with working exposure of international, national and customer specific standards in electricity.
Knowledge of power electronics devices and modelling of electrical network in HV/EHV system like HVDC & FACTS.
