Job Description

Ready to travel to customer sites for installation and service of Uster products.

Product support and service:

  • Installs products and performs updates/modifications at customer site. Determines nonstandard fitting arrangements.
  • Services, modifies, performs preventive maintenance and repairs equipment or components including those which require nonstandard troubleshooting techniques.
  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to lower-level service specialists issues addressed may be complex.
  • Ensures optimal operating performance of equipment.
  • Performs pre installation service related to new equipment including those installations involving nonstandard arrangements.

Customer support:

  • Provides detailed instruction, application, use, calibration and preventative service methods to customers.
  • Conducts training with customers and lower-level service specialists on using Uster products in an efficient manner. Also, conducts training in response to equipment issues. Provides related follow-up support to training.
  • Response to customers service-related inquiries (including those that are complex) and choose good customer relations.

Other responsibilities:

  • Provides feedback on product performance during department meetings or sooner if needed.
  • Conducts trials due to special requirements of customers.
  • Support sales team with require technical expertise including assisting with technical demonstrations and preparing detailed technique reports as needed provides sales leads where possible
  • Key liaison (i.e. Contact). With select customers as well as regional service centers and local service stations
  • Provides assistance in developing lower-level service specialists if requested
  • Performs key responsibilities under very limited supervision.

Basic qualification:

BE / BTech or Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentation

Experience

Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in a reputed company.

Language skills

Should have good proficiency in English and Local language – to read, write and speak.

Skills and Capabilities (Professional Skills)

  • Good technical and analytical knowledge
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (ability to present, teach, consult, convey a message)
  • Basic proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time and resources at the customer plant
  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills to coordinate and present customer plant trials, internal trials and other projects as required
  • Ability to work independently as needed with minimum direct supervision and intervention and deliver things on time
