Engineer - Product Safety

As an Engineer - Product Safety at Schindler in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety standards of elevators and escalators post-installation. Your responsibilities will include conducting audits for elevators/escalators within the branch's active portfolio. You will be responsible for coordinating with the installation personnel to conduct SAIS tests for certification of elevators according to Schindler Acceptance Inspection Standards. This test is conducted post-installation and commissioning to ensure the elevators meet Schindler's requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with the maintenance team to conduct CPSI tests for certification of elevators every 5 years of operation, ensuring safety inspection requirements are standardized and documented. To be successful in this role, you should have 5 years of experience for installation personnel or 7 years of experience for service personnel. A degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering is mandatory for this position.
