Engineer Instrumentation (Junior / Senior)

Role Title:

2. Senior Engineer - Instrumentation

Role Purpose:

To execute, monitor, and manage instrumentation engineering activities across assigned projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, project timelines, safety norms, and client expectations. The role is responsible for end-to-end coordinationfrom engineering documentation and vendor management to testing, site execution, and commissioning support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Coordination

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor all assigned engineering project activities.
• Interact daily with clients to understand requirements, address queries, and represent technical needs on the field.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to support smooth project delivery.

2. Compliance & Quality Control

• Monitor compliance with applicable codes, industry practices, QA/QC policies, standards, and project specifications.
• Perform overall quality control of project deliverables, including budget adherence, schedule compliance, engineering plans, and personnel performance.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions where necessary.

3. Engineering Documentation

• Prepare Data Sheets, BOMs, and instrumentation engineering documents as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with draftsmen for the preparation and review of AutoCAD drawings related to instrumentation.
• Review and validate vendor documents, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client standards.

4. Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors for the timely submission of post-order documentation.
• Liaise with instrumentation contractors and skid fabricators for the correct execution of instrumentation work on skids.
• Supervise contractor workmanship and ensure completion within defined timelines.

5. Testing, FAT & Commissioning

• Conduct testing of instrument panels and skid instruments during pre-FAT and FAT.
• Ensure documentation and compliance for FAT procedures.
• Execute erection and commissioning activities at site, ensuring readiness, quality, and safety compliance.

Qualifications & Experience (Editable)

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

• Junior Engineer

  - Experience in the range

  2 to 5 years

  /

  Senior- 58

  years of experience in instrumentation engineering, project execution, FAT/Site commissioning.
• Experience in skid-based instrumentation projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ISA, API, IEC, etc.) is an advantage.
