As an Engineer, IT Software at American Airlines, you will be part of a diverse and high-performing team dedicated to technical excellence. Your primary focus will be on delivering unrivaled digital products that drive a more reliable and profitable airline. The Software domain within Information Technology encompasses the development, deployment, management, and maintenance of software applications that support business processes and user needs. This includes activities such as development, application lifecycle management, requirement analysis, QA, security & compliance, and maintaining applications and infrastructure. Leading by example, you will prioritize the closure of open vulnerabilities, evaluate potential attack surfaces, and guide the implementation of best practices to mitigate risks. Moreover, you will lead the team in identifying small batches of work that deliver high value quickly and advocate for broad reusability in all team implementations. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or have equivalent experience/training, along with at least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and experience in the Airline Industry. You should possess proficiency in a range of technical skills and technologies such as Angular, MongoDB, NodeJs, TypeScript, Azure/AWS, Java, Python, C#, Spring/SpringBoot, FastAPI, Angular/React, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, Azure DevOps, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, REST, GraphQL, Selenium, TestNG, Postman, SonarQube, Cypress, JUnit/NUnit/PyTest, Cucumber, Playwright, Wiremock/Mockito/Moq, and more. Additionally, you should have strong communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within the organization. At American Airlines, you will have the opportunity to contribute to keeping the largest airline in the world running smoothly while caring for people on life's journey. Join us and experience a dynamic, tech-driven environment where your creativity and strengths are valued, and every day brings new opportunities to make a meaningful impact.,
