Engineer - Blade Production

Production & Operations

• Execute daily operations for wind turbine blade manufacturing as per production plans.
• Monitor, control, and optimize process parameters for molding, infusion, finishing, assembly, and other blade production stages.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards throughout the production cycle.
• Coordinate with supervisors and technicians to achieve daily production targets.

Quality & Process Control

• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, lamination quality, material usage, and adherence to engineering specifications.
• Identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with the Quality & Engineering team to maintain high-quality production standards.

Material & Resource Management

• Ensure availability and proper usage of raw materials, consumables, molds, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor material wastage and drive initiatives to reduce scrap and improve cost efficiency.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with EHS guidelines on the shop floor.
• Drive safety awareness and participate in HSE audits, safety talks, and risk assessments.

Continuous Improvement

• Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
• Identify areas for process optimization to improve cycle time, quality, and productivity.
• Contribute to new blade model transitions and process validation activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of composites manufacturing (Glass fiber, Carbon fiber, Resin infusion processes).
• Hands-on experience in WTG blade manufacturing or similar composite manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of production planning and process documentation.
• Problem-solving skills using RCA tools (Fishbone, 5 Why, etc.).
• Familiarity with Lean tools, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Good communication, team coordination, and analytical abilities.
