Job Description

Role Overview: As a Hedge Fund specialist at SS&C, you will be responsible for client-facing tasks involving shadow reconciliations and accounting services using various SS&C Accounting platforms. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, implement solutions, and present results through multiple client-facing projects. Key Responsibilities: - Process Portfolio Reconciliations including Positions, Cash, and Transaction Reconciliation with Prime Brokers, Custodians, Fund Administrators, and ISDA Counterparties. - Perform Month-End Shadow Accounting tasks such as NAV, Trial Balance, and Tax Lots Reconciliations. - Handle Non-Trading Activity processing including Corporate Actions, Subscriptions & Redemptions, and Account Transfers. - Manage Asset Servicing tasks like Swap Financing & Resets, Bond Amortization, and Option Exercises. - Resolve breaks through direct communication with 3rd Parties. - Communicate reconciliation results with Clients, 3rd Parties, and internal stakeholders. - Document requirements, associated workflows, and maintain an artefact library. Qualifications Required: - 7-10 years of experience in a financial or technology setting. - Strong working knowledge of instrument valuation across multiple asset classes like Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income, Credit, and FX. - Understanding of the trade lifecycle from Pre-Trade Compliance to reporting, including reconciliation. - Prior exposure to Portfolio Management and reconciliation software. - Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel with preferred or working knowledge of VBA and Macro Building.
