Job Title / Role : Cyber Security Specialist- Endpoint and IT security
Department: D & AI (H)
Location: Electronic City
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Required Experience:
- Configure and maintain endpoint security tools such as Endpoint Production (EDR/XDR), Drive Encryption, DLP, Web Proxy, CASB, etc., across multiple device operating systems and configurations
- Configure new policies in security tools and tune existing security policies
- Install and manage SSL certificates for endpoint security tools
- Create technical documentation, including solution architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with the Security Operations team perform validation and assessments of security policies and configurations
- Create and provide reporting, metrics, and key performance indicators
- Conduct regular health checks of the endpoint security tools
- Assist with External and Internal Audit evidence requests
- Assist SOC team as needed with incident response
- Cross train on other security tools to provide additional support
- Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
- Troubleshooting security and network problems.
- Responding to all system and network security breaches.
- Participating in the change management process.
- Identifying and support to fix the network and system vulnerabilities.
- Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.
- Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
- Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends
- Prepare reports that document general metrics, attempted attacks, and security breaches
- Develop security standards and best practices for their organization
- Key responsibilities include managing Data Loss Prevention, Patch Management and endpoint & network security tools for all company assets.
Required Skills:
Experience utilising endpoint management software (Manage Engine Unified Endpoint Central)
Understanding of security controls (e.g., access controls, auditing, authentication, encryption, integrity, physical security, and endpoint security).
Basic networking skills.
Knowledge of Security technologies, principles and best practices (Proxy, EDR, ATP, DLP, CASB, ZTNA, PAM).
Strong understanding of next-gen and traditional endpoint protection strategies and technologies.
Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically technical documentation.
Desire to work in a team environment. Good understanding of V model in automotive software development
