Role Overview: You will be serving as an EMG Transaction Monitoring Expert at AVP level in Bangalore, India. The External Monitoring Group (EMG) operates as an independent Level 1 control function within the Bank, focusing on conducting counterparty surveillance. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing Trade Behaviour Monitoring Alerts (TBM) to ensure regulatory compliance and leveraging an innovative anomaly detection platform incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. Your role will involve analyzing Corporate and Investment Bank product transactions, managing risk cases, and conducting investigations within defined timeframes. Key Responsibilities: - Investigate alerts, review Business submissions, and escalate issues per defined processes. - Collaborate with Technology teams to enhance data quality, reduce noise, and minimize false positives generated by the monitoring tools. - Provide ad-hoc support for Business requests, Control functions, and generate detailed reports on Trading behavior/activity. - Lead global projects in the surveillance domain, contributing to the bank's strategic goals and operational performance improvement. - Engage in product and service enhancement initiatives, risk management, stakeholder management, and communication of operational requirements to relevant parties. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 12 years of experience in financial crime investigations, AML, Transaction Monitoring, and oversight of suspicious activities in Investment Banking and/or Corporate Banking. - Proficiency in working within a core RTB environment, managing high volumes, and meeting tight deadlines. - Strong collaboration, attention to detail, and proactive approach to change programs. - Excellent risk management skills, in-depth understanding of trade life cycle controls, and ability to independently solve business problems in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication in English and German, proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, analytical skills, and lateral thinking capabilities. - Experience in working with investment banking clients, risk management, and complex client entity structures. - Strong organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to excel under tight time constraints and drive operational improvements through subject matter expertise sharing.
