EMG QA Analyst, Associate

In this role as an EMG QA Analyst, Associate, you will be a part of a global Financial Crime Risk & Compliance Quality Assurance (QA) team, providing insight into the operating effectiveness and control design adequacy of the External Monitoring Group (EMG) in Mumbai. Your responsibilities will include reviewing investigations & quality checks related to Account Activity Review (AAR) attestations, Expected Nature and Purpose of Relationship (ENPR) submissions, and Trade Behaviour Monitoring Alerts. You will leverage your investigative skill-set, quality assurance mentality, and investment banking product knowledge to assess potential financial crime risks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate as EMG Quality Assurance Subject Matter Expert within the global QA function - Review Transaction Monitoring alerts to provide an objective review of alert investigations - Perform accurate QA checks on alerts across multiple locations and business areas - Identify risks within alert investigations and ensure appropriate remediation and escalation - Collaborate with EMG ops teams to enhance alert investigation standards - Contribute to a continuous improvement program based on QA testing results - Foster a culture of teamwork and collective achievement of departmental goals - Contribute to the forward-looking QA strategy including AI, machine learning, and process re-engineering **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 8 years of experience in financial crime investigations, AML, Transaction Monitoring - Hands-on experience in a core RTB environment handling high volumes and meeting deadlines - Strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to change programs - Strong risk management capabilities and understanding of trade life cycle controls - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and mentor junior team members - Excellent communication skills in English and German, proficiency in MS Excel and MS Power Point The company, Deutsche Bank Group, fosters a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, and inclusivity.
