Emergency Medical Officer

Job Summary:

Emergency/Casualty/ICU preferred.

The Emergency RMO will be responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to patients in the Emergency Department. The role includes initial assessment, stabilization, treatment, and coordination with specialists for further management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate medical attention to emergency and trauma patients.
  
• Perform initial assessment, diagnosis, and initiate emergency treatment protocols.
  
• Stabilize patients and ensure timely escalation to specialists/surgeons.
  
• Liaise with paramedics, nursing staff, and diagnostic teams to coordinate care.
  
• Assist in emergency procedures (intubation, catheterization, IV lines, etc.)
  
• Monitor and manage patients under observation in the Emergency Room.
  
• Support medico-legal formalities as per protocol.
  
• Stay updated on emergency protocols and hospital SOPs.
  

Qualifications:

• MBBS from a recognized institution.
  
• Valid Medical Council registration (preferably state-specific).
  
• ACLS/BLS certified (preferred).
  
• Emergency/Casualty/ICU preferred.
  

Skills Required:

• Strong clinical decision-making skills.
  
• Calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
  
• Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) is an advantage.
