Job Description

Role Overview: As an Embedded Software Engineer at Lucy Electric Manufacturing & Technologies, you will play a crucial role in developing the next generation of embedded automation solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to work in a mixed signal environment, contributing to the development of software for both analogue data acquisition systems and ARM-based microcontrollers. You will collaborate with the Project Manager, Product Manager, and other stakeholders to develop technical specifications, realize the product, and support its release to end users. Your ability to work on a variety of systems using different programming languages will be advantageous in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Use good engineering practices to design and modify products using company-specific software - Analyze scope and requirements, identify and solve problems, and provide innovative solutions - Take responsibility for the entire product life cycle, including specification, software architecture, design, validation, production release, and customer support - Work with an agile multi-disciplined team, participate in design reviews, support change management, testing, fault finding, and production build - Provide end user support for both new and existing products and act as a technical liaison with customers, suppliers, and collaboration partners - Support team members and contribute to the development of associated diagnostic tools and graphical interfaces Qualification Required: Skills: - Analytical mindset with a methodical approach to problem solving - Proficiency in programming languages such as C and assembly language - Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and real-time programming techniques - Knowledge of embedded hardware, microcontrollers, and processors - Familiarity with object-oriented design, structured analysis and design, and version control systems - Strong understanding of engineering mathematics, modelling, and MS Office applications - Desirable knowledge in communication protocols, Agile development methodologies, power management techniques, and MV distribution systems Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent - Minimum of 2 years hands-on engineering experience We are looking for innovative, flexible, methodical, and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineers who enjoy learning and sharing knowledge.
