Job Description

As an Embedded Engineer specialized in Battery Management Systems (BMS) with a comprehensive understanding of BMS architecture, components, and safety features, your primary responsibility will be to develop and integrate new processes in the New Product Development Stage (NPDS). This will include tasks such as design for assembly (DFA), design for safety (DFS), design verification analysis (DVA), ergonomics, and cable routing. Furthermore, you will work on BMS architecture aspects like SOC, SOH, cell balancing, fault detection, safety controls, and protection algorithms, while also focusing on thermal management, energy management, and life optimization algorithms. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and testing embedded software and firmware for BMS applications. - Integrating and configuring BMS hardware, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces like CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C. - Implementing state-of-charge (SOC), state-of-health (SOH), and cell balancing algorithms. - Collaborating with hardware engineers to design PCB layouts and perform hardware-software co-validation. - Ensuring compliance with electrical, thermal, and mechanical battery requirements by working with cross-functional teams. - Developing diagnostic tools and supporting root-cause analysis of field issues. - Documenting software design, validation protocols, and change logs. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: Qualifications: - B Tech in ECE/EEE Experience: - 2+ years of experience in battery management systems Skills Required: - Solid understanding of BMS architecture, components, and safety features. - Experience in Li-Ion battery assembly (cylindrical, pouch, prismatic cells), adhesive dispensing, electrical assembly, production engineering, and knowledge of quality check points in battery assembly. - Knowledge of LV and HV battery system handling. - Experience in RS485, Modbus, and CAN protocols for communication with BMS and peripheral devices. - Proficiency in preparing SOPs, work instructions, and quality checklists. - Ability to read and implement custom communication protocols provided by BMS manufacturers.
