Position Overview

Email Marketing Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management

  • Plan, build, and deploy email campaigns including newsletters, promotional emails, lifecycle flows, and transactional communications.
  • Manage end-to-end executionfrom conceptualization, copy briefing, design coordination, QA, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communications.

Email Automation & Segmentation

  • Develop and optimize automated email workflows (welcome series, cart abandonment, re-engagement, retention campaigns, etc.).
  • Create advanced audience segments based on behavior, demographics, and lifecycle stages.

Content & Creative Collaboration

  • Partner with content, product, and design teams to craft compelling email messaging and visuals.
  • A/B test subject lines, CTAs, creative assets, and email formats to improve engagement.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor campaign performance using KPIs (deliverability, open rate, CTR, conversion rate, unsubscribe rate, etc.).
  • Generate performance reports and insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct deliverability checks and maintain strong sender reputation.

Database & Compliance

  • Maintain and grow the email subscriber database.
  • Ensure compliance with email regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, etc.).
  • Manage list hygiene, suppression lists, and opt-out processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in email marketing or CRM marketing.
  • Hands-on experience with email platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Marketo, Braze, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of HTML for email and responsive design principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in A/B testing and campaign optimization.
  • Familiarity with customer lifecycle strategy and retention marketing.
  • Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, or similar).
  • Knowledge of SQL or data querying is a plus.
