Job Description

As a Electronics Component Purchase Engineer, you will be an integral part of the supply chain team at our company. Your role will involve sourcing, negotiating, and procuring electronic components from various suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and quality assurance for our production and R&D operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Source, evaluate, and procure a range of electronic components from global and local suppliers, including semiconductors, PCBs, sensors, connectors, passives, actives, etc. - Coordinate with international distributors and manufacturers to secure competitive pricing, optimal lead times, and reliable supply chains. - Identify alternate sources and substitute components to mitigate risks arising from shortages, EOL, or obsolescence. - Manage import documentation, provide customs clearance support, and coordinate logistics for overseas shipments. - Collaborate closely with R&D, design, and production teams to align component procurement with project timelines. - Conduct cost analysis and optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) to support cost-effective product development. - Maintain and update Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) and assess supplier performance in terms of quality, compliance, and reliability. - Ensure compliance with international standards/regulations such as RoHS/REACH. - Monitor global market trends in electronics to provide insights for strategic purchasing decisions. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management. - 2-6 years of proven experience in electronics component procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management. - Strong technical knowledge of electronic components, datasheets, and specifications. - Hands-on experience in dealing with global suppliers/distributors (Mouser, DigiKey, Arrow, Avnet, etc.). - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office. - Excellent skills in negotiation, vendor management, and cross-border communication. - Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry. - Knowledge of BOM cost-down strategies and supplier benchmarking. - Familiarity with global supply chain risk management and trend forecasting. - Ability to work across multiple time zones with suppliers in Asia, Europe, and the US.,
