A Theatre Electrician (or Stage Electrician/Technician) implements lighting designs by setting up, wiring, and operating lighting and electrical equipment for theatrical productions, concerts, and live events. Key responsibilities include interpreting lighting plots, safely installing and focusing fixtures, managing power distribution, programming and operating lighting consoles, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with designers and technical directors. The role requires physical labor, including working at heights, and a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety.
