Job Description

As an Electrician at our real estate group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. Your responsibilities will include: - Installing, inspecting, and repairing electrical wiring, outlets, lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components in buildings. - Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems to uphold safety standards. - Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, and construction plans. - Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues to provide effective solutions promptly. - Ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations. - Collaborating with maintenance staff, contractors, and engineers during renovation and development projects. - Maintaining records of repairs, installations, inspections, and test results. - Responding to service requests from tenants, property managers, and site supervisors. - Advising on energy-saving solutions and recommending upgrades when necessary. To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and requirements: - ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - Valid electrical license/certification in accordance with local regulations. - Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in electrical work, preferably in residential or commercial property settings. - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties or job sites. - Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights. - Willingness to work on-call for emergencies. Additionally, preferred skills for this role include experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), familiarity with solar energy systems or energy-efficient solutions, and basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or general facility maintenance. Please note that compliance with electrical codes, repair skills, energy-saving solutions, real estate knowledge, blueprint interpretation abilities, maintenance experience, installation proficiency, energy expertise, troubleshooting capabilities, and understanding of electrical systems are crucial for success in this position.
