Electrician (Smart metering)

As a skilled and certified Smart Meter Electrician, your role will involve handling the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of smart electricity and gas meters at residential and commercial properties. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Installing single-phase and three-phase smart meters (electric and/or gas) in adherence to industry standards and safety protocols - Conducting accurate testing, commissioning, and verification of meters post-installation - Diagnosing and rectifying faults in smart meters and associated equipment - Maintaining professional communication with customers to explain installation processes and address queries - Keeping meticulous records of installations, maintenance activities, and service calls In addition to the key responsibilities, you should possess a strong background in electrical systems, a sound technical knowledge base, and a dedication to providing top-notch customer service. It is essential to ensure that all work is executed in compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Utilizing handheld devices for job scheduling, data entry, and reporting purposes will also be part of your role. Qualifications required for this position include being a certified Smart Meter Electrician, having experience in electrical systems, and demonstrating proficiency in customer communication.
