Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Assemble control and relay panels as per engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. Perform internal wiring of panels including terminal blocks, relays, protection devices, meters, and PLCs. Conduct point-to-point wiring checks and continuity testing. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during assembly. Assist in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and troubleshooting. Mount electrical components such as relays, terminal blocks, meters, switches, and protection devices on panels as per layout drawings. Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and labeling of all mounted components. Handle and install DIN rails, cable ducts, and panel accessories. Preferred Skills: Experience with 11kV to 400kV substation panels. Knowledge of relay wiring (ABB, Siemens, GE, etc.). Understanding of safety standards (IS/IEC). Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Safety Protocols: Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and antistatic wristbands. Ensure power is disconnected before starting any wiring or modification work. Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance or testing. Use insulated tools and verify their condition before use. Ensure proper earthing and bonding of panels before energization. Avoid overloading circuits and ensure proper fuse/MCB ratings are used. Qualifications: ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 0–3 years of experience in panel wiring and assembly. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and GA drawings. Familiarity with tools like wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, and drills.
