Job Description: Electrician (Sheenlac paints) Role Overview: The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the paint manufacturing plant. The role demands strict adherence to safety, reliability, and quality standards, ensuring uninterrupted production and compliance with statutory electrical regulations. Possession of a valid “C” Electrical License is mandatory for this role. Key Responsibilities: 1. Electrical Maintenance & Operation Carry out routine preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment, panels, and wiring systems. Diagnose faults and repair electrical issues in machinery, lighting, and utilities. Ensure safe and efficient functioning of all electrical installations across production, mixing, and packaging areas. 2. Installation & Commissioning Install new electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control panels as per approved layouts and industry standards. Assist in commissioning of new machines, automation systems, and paint process equipment. 3. Safety & Compliance Strictly adhere to electrical safety procedures, lockout–tagout (LOTO), and plant safety norms. Ensure all electrical installations and modifications comply with statutory requirements. Maintain and update logbooks, inspection records, and license documentation as per the Electricity Board guidelines. 4. Preventive Maintenance Conduct periodic inspections and preventive maintenance schedules for transformers, MCC panels, and DG sets. Ensure optimal power utilization and identify areas to reduce energy wastage. 5. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with the Maintenance Engineer, Production, and Utility teams for maintenance planning. Report breakdowns, root causes, and corrective actions taken in the maintenance system. Qualification & Experience: Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering License: Valid “C” Electrical License (Mandatory) issued by the Electrical Licensing Board Experience: 3 – 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance within paint / chemical / manufacturing industry
