Electrical Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, developing equipment specification, testing and troubleshooting of AC and DC Electrical Power Distribution System
• Specification, selection and procurement of range of LV, MV, HV electrical equipment

Protection & Control:

• Developing Electrical Protection strategy, relay programming and performing protection and coordination studies, and short circuit studies, arc flash, voltage regulation, load flow and fault level reports
• Perform advanced electric and magnetic field analysis

Technical Regulations & Standards:

• Ensure functionality, safety and integrity of the electrical designs and compliance with appropriate codes from various regulatory bodies and best design practices (IEC, NEC, ATEX)

Vendor Management & Sourcing:

• Preparation of technical specifications for procurement of the range of electrical equipment and materials
• Evaluating, review technology and companies for Approved Vendor List inclusion

Work Experience

Experience from 3 to 8 years

•  Experienced with Excitation and Turbine Control products
  •  Ability to analyze technical specifications and proposals•  Ability to develop detailed engineering design packages•  Customer service oriented•  Strong verbal and written communication skills •  Self-starter with the ability to deal with varied and multiple project assignments simultaneously
