Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at our pharmaceutical facility, your main focus will be on designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and processes. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is crucial in all your electrical system designs and practices. Collaboration with other engineers, technicians, and production teams will be essential to optimize energy usage, enhance system performance, and support overall facility operations. Keeping accurate records of electrical systems, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts is a part of your regular responsibilities. Additionally, providing training to other personnel on proper electrical system operation and maintenance is expected. Your day-to-day tasks will include developing electrical schematics, sizing and selecting electrical components, conducting inspections and preventative maintenance, preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), participating in project planning and execution, troubleshooting electrical faults, ensuring proper grounding and lightning protection, and staying updated with relevant industry standards and regulations. Regular reporting on electrical engineering activities and performance is also required. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree and Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Previous experience in electrical engineering, particularly in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical setting, is preferred. A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, practices, safety standards, and regulations, including GMP, is essential.
