As an Installation & Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Install, maintain, and repair electrical panels, motors, wiring, switches, and control systems to ensure the smooth operation of equipment. - Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to reduce downtime and increase efficiency. - Inspect electrical components for hazards, defects, and compliance issues to maintain a safe working environment. - Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in machinery, production lines, and building systems using testing tools such as multimeters, meggers, and clamp meters. - Respond promptly to breakdowns and support maintenance teams in restoring equipment to minimize disruptions. - Assist engineers in commissioning new equipment, preparing test reports, and supporting calibration and maintenance of electrical instruments and sensors. - Maintain documentation including maintenance logs, checklists, and work orders to ensure proper record-keeping. - Follow electrical safety standards and ensure all work is done as per regulations to maintain a safe working environment. - Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and practice safe working habits around high-voltage equipment. - Support audits and compliance checks for electrical systems to ensure regulatory compliance. - Work collaboratively with production, mechanical, and utility teams to minimize operational disruptions and improve efficiency. - Communicate equipment status, downtime issues, and improvement suggestions to supervisors for effective coordination.
