Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Marine Electrical Draftsman / Design & Documentation Engineer to support our UAE marine automation projects from our Calicut backend office. The role involves preparing AutoCAD marine electrical drawings and maintaining accurate engineering documentation as per project and class requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and modify marine electrical drawings using AutoCAD (2D).
• Develop drawings such as:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Power & control wiring diagrams
• Panel layout drawings
• Cable routing and termination drawings
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation:
• Cable schedules
• I/O lists
• BOQ
• Drawing registers
• Coordinate with UAE project engineers for drawing inputs and revisions.
• Implement drawing corrections based on site feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with marine standards and class requirements.
• Maintain proper version control and document records.

Educational Qualification:

• BTech / Diploma in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics / Instrumentation
• Marine / Automation related discipline
• Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills may be considered.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
• Understanding of electrical control circuits
• Basic knowledge of marine electrical systems (preferred)
• Good documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work as a backend support engineer

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):

• Experience in marine automation projects
• Knowledge of shipboard systems
• Familiarity with class societies (DNV, ABS, BV – advantage)
• Exposure to UAE / offshore project documentation
