Electrical Design Engineer

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, India, you will be part of the Transformers Business Unit team, contributing to the transformation of energy and the creation of a sustainable energy future for current and future generations. Your role will involve designing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks for various purposes, including commercial, industrial, and domestic applications. Your responsibilities will include preparing customer documents, manufacturing drawings, and bill of materials, while coordinating design activities across global factories. You will participate in internal design concept reviews, engage with technical teams worldwide, and design solutions aligned with market and sales strategies. Your ability to build effective teams, communicate efficiently, and adhere to safety and integrity values will be crucial in this role. To qualify for this position, you must hold a full-time bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, along with 2-10 years of experience in Electrical design for Power Transformers manufacturing industry. A solid understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, thermal dynamics, dielectrics, short circuit performance, and transformer mechanics is essential. Experience with simulation or software development, 2D and 3D drawing software, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, will be advantageous. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, and knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus.
