Electrical Design Engineer

You are a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SP3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD, seeking to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. Your expertise lies in developing electrical layouts and designs for large-scale EPC projects while ensuring adherence to industry standards and attention to detail. Your responsibilities will include developing and modifying electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), grounding, lighting, and cable routing drawings for industrial and infrastructure EPC projects. Utilizing Smart Plant 3D (SP3D), you will prepare 3D electrical models and integrate them with other disciplines. Additionally, you will create and revise 2D drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD as per project requirements and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure design compatibility. Your ability to interpret engineering specifications, standards, and client requirements will be crucial in delivering high-quality design packages. You will actively participate in design reviews, resolve technical issues, and support project delivery schedules. Maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with IEC, NEC, and other relevant standards will be part of your routine tasks. Furthermore, you will provide support during construction and commissioning phases as necessary. Key Skills & Competencies: - Proficiency in SP3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD for electrical design. - Strong understanding of EPC project workflows and deliverables. - Experience with layout development, equipment arrangement, cable tray routing, and earthing systems. - Familiarity with international electrical standards and codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE). - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design within EPC or engineering consultancy environments. - Certification or training in SP3D, MicroStation, or AutoCAD is a plus.
