Electrical Control and PLC Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and implement Electrical design for Special Purpose Machine, Semi Automated machines, & Fixtures.
• Selection of protection devices, safety devices, and hardware control components.
• Configure and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to Control Automation processes.
• Develop communication protocols and interface solutions for seamless system integration (e.g., Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP).
• Provide training to engineering teams to diagnose and resolve issues with control systems, ensuring minimal downtime .
• Create detailed documentation, including system specifications, wiring diagrams, programming code, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure systems comply with safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operators to meet project deadlines and performance objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Control System Engineering or related field.
• Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in control systems design and automation, with a focus on special-purpose machines and robotics.
• Experience with Electrical Design tool like Electrical CAD, Eplan, etc.
• Experience with PLC Programming (WPL Soft, DOP, CX Programmer, Sysmac Studio, GX Works, etc.)
• Skills
• Strong knowledge of robotic programming (Epson, Mitsubishi, Denso, etc.)
• Knowledge of vision system (Cognex, Keyence, etc.)
• Expertise in industrial communication protocols and integration (e.g., Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP).
• Expertise in troubleshooting robotic systems, including motion errors, sensor calibration, and communication issues.

Personal Attributes:

• Written / verbal in English are necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in control systems, robotics, and vision system integration.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
