Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Electrical BIM Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Create and manage detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems (lighting, power, ELV, fire alarm, etc.) using Revit MEP.
Interpret design inputs from electrical engineers and translate them into coordinated BIM models.
Generate electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, schedules, and other documentation from the model.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure design integration.
Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and participate in coordination meetings.
Maintain model accuracy in line with project updates, design revisions, and as-built conditions.
Assist in developing and maintaining BIM standards, templates, and project-specific protocols.
Contribute to the preparation of technical submissions, RFI responses, and shop drawings.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination for electrical systems.
Proficiency in Revit MEP is essential; knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 is preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical systems in buildings including LV/MV distribution, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of Indian and international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NBC, etc.).
Ability to interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and design briefs.
Good coordination, documentation, and communication skills
