Electrical & Automation Engineer – Bipolar Hydrogen Generation Unit

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems in bipolar or electrolytic hydrogen generation plants.
• Ensure reliable functioning of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems used in hydrogen generation and storage.
• Handle control panels, instrumentation loops, sensors, and interlocks related to hydrogen plant safety and production.
• Coordinate with process and mechanical teams for shutdowns, maintenance planning, and system upgrades.
• Perform regular checks on power distribution, MCCs, transformers, and control systems ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain documentation like logic diagrams, panel drawings, and preventive maintenance reports.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Instrumentation / Automation Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in electrolytic hydrogen generation systems (Bipolar/Unipolar type).
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / ABB) and SCADA/DCS systems.
• Understanding of hazardous area classification, ATEX/IECEx standards, and safety interlocks for hydrogen systems.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lead or support plant automation upgrades or energy optimization projects.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in plants with Hydrogen, Nitrogen, or Oxygen generation systems.
• Familiarity with compressor control systems, rectifier,purification skids, and storage systems.
• Exposure to ISO 45001 / 14001 safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
