About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Workato Consultant with deep expertise in building, managing, and optimizing enterprise integrations. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in architecting automation workflows, ensuring seamless data synchronization, and delivering scalable solutions across Salesforce and a wide range of SaaS platforms such as NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, Slack, and more. This role requires both technical acumen and business understanding to translate requirements into robust integration strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development & Management :
- Design, build, and deploy complex integrations using Workato across Salesforce and third-party applications.
- Develop and optimize Workato recipes, workflows, and connectors for end-to-end automation use cases such as employee onboarding, financial system syncs, notifications, and compliance alerts.
- Implement error handling, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms for integrations in production.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and define scalable integration architectures.
- Provide best practices, design patterns, and standards for Workato automation projects.
- Ensure integrations comply with enterprise security, scalability, and governance policies.
Technical Implementation
- Work extensively with REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, Webhooks, and OAuth 2.0 for cross-platform integrations.
- Write and optimize custom scripts in JavaScript/Node.js or Python to extend Workato capabilities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Workato connectors and APIs for Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Manage and lead end-to-end integration projects independently, from requirement analysis to deployment and support.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Salesforce admins, architects, developers, and business analysts) to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Provide technical mentorship and contribute to internal knowledge sharing on automation best practices.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor production integrations, ensuring performance, scalability, and stability.
- Conduct regular audits, implement enhancements, and maintain technical documentation.
- Optimize recipes for cost-efficiency and long-term & Requirements :
- Experience : 6+ years of hands-on experience with Workato, designing and managing complex integrations at scale.
- Platform Expertise : Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and at least two other major SaaS platforms (NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, Slack, ServiceNow, etc.).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, Webhooks, OAuth, SSO.
- Strong scripting knowledge in JavaScript/Node.js (Python is a plus).
- Solid understanding of data mapping, ETL concepts, and error handling frameworks.
Certifications (preferred But Not Mandatory)
- Workato Automation Pro I & II
- Workato HTTP Connector Specialist
- Salesforce Administrator or Developer certifications
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with ability to work independently in complex integration environments.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
