As an EDP Incharge, you will be responsible for overseeing the Electronic Data Processing operations within the organization. You will play a pivotal role in managing the efficient utilization of computer systems, networks, and software applications to support business operations and achieve organizational goals. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
1. IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and peripherals. Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of IT systems to support business continuity.
2. Systems Administration: Manage and administer various operating systems, databases, and enterprise applications used within the organization. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
3. Network Security: Implement and enforce security measures to protect the organization's network infrastructure, data assets, and sensitive information from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and security breaches. Develop and maintain security policies, protocols, and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
4. Data Management: Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and availability of organizational data. Establish data backup, recovery, and retention protocols to mitigate risks and prevent data loss.
5. Software Development and Integration: Oversee software development projects and initiatives to enhance business processes, productivity, and efficiency. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop, customize, and integrate software solutions that meet the organization's requirements.
6. User Support and Training: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users to resolve IT-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize system usage. Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and deliver training sessions to educate users on IT systems and applications.
7. IT Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Conduct regular audits, assessments, and reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
8. Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with IT vendors, suppliers, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing terms to ensure cost-effective procurement of IT products and services.
9. Budget Planning and Management: Develop and manage the IT department budget, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring expenditures. Allocate resources effectively to support IT initiatives, projects, and operational needs while optimizing costs and maximizing ROI.
