Editorial Associate

Role Overview: As an Editorial Associate at Wiley, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing special content collections, such as Special Issues, and assisting in expanding the journal content programs. You will work in a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence, and collaborate closely with various teams within the organization. Your role will involve screening and reviewing content proposals, liaising with Guest Editorial teams, Editors, and other stakeholders, and supporting the promotion and reporting of published content. Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate submitted special content proposals and Guest Editor teams based on defined criteria - Make critical decisions throughout the proposal evaluation workflow to ensure quality and integrity - Manage the content proposal pipeline, coordinating with the Content Development Services team for timely progression - Communicate with stakeholders to facilitate proposal reviews and decision-making - Provide guidance and support to Guest Editorial teams to enhance proposal quality and clarity - Collaborate with different publishing teams to develop relevant and high-potential special content - Identify and resolve issues in content development, working with relevant teams as needed - Monitor key metrics for proposal screening, evaluation, and launches Qualifications Required: - A motivated individual with 1-4 years of experience in publishing or related roles - Degree level education in publishing, research, science, or related field, or a strong interest in these areas - Strong work ethic, ability to manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements - Proficiency in written English and understanding of scientific texts - Interest in scholarly publishing and familiarity with research integrity - Comfortable with data and tracking tools, including spreadsheet analysis - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively - Team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and supports research integrity Additional Company Details: Wiley is a trusted leader in research and learning, advocating for advancement and empowering knowledge-seekers globally.
