About This Role:
As an EDI Specialist/Developer at Kibo, you will be a hands-on technical expert responsible for managing, developing, and supporting our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations, with a strong focus on distributors, retailers and drop-ship vendors in the B2C B2B commerce, and retailer ecosystems. You will be the subject matter expert for all EDI-related transactions, ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely flow of data between Kibo, our clients, and their trading partners. Your role will involve mapping, testing, and troubleshooting EDI documents, onboarding new partners, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance our commerce solutions.

What You ll Do:

Design, develop, test, and deploy new EDI maps and workflows for various transactions.

Manage the day-to-day operations of EDI transactions, monitoring data flow and proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving any errors or failures.

Lead the onboarding of new trading partners (retailers, 3PLs, drop-ship vendors), including requirements gathering, mapping, testing, and production cutover.

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams and external trading partners on all EDI-related matters.

Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define EDI requirements for new platform features and enhancements.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for EDI processes, trading partner specifications, and data maps.

Analyze and translate business requirements into technical EDI specifications.

Ensure all EDI processes comply with partner-specific guidelines and industry standards (X12, EDIFACT).

Support and optimize existing EDI integrations to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
What You ll Need:
-
5+ years of professional experience as an EDI Analyst, EDI Developer, or similar role.

Deep functional and technical knowledge of ANSI X12 standards and a broad range of transaction sets (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 846, 940, 945, etc.).

Proven experience in mapping, configuring, and building EDI integrations across all document types for high-volume transactions.

Experience with integrations involving ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and other backend systems for complex B2B and Dropship use cases.

Practical experience with, or a strong understanding of, a modern Order Management System (OMS) and/or an eCommerce platform.

Hands-on experience with EDI integration and translation platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Sterling Integrator, SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide clear solutions.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (internal teams and external partners).

Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and partner onboarding processes simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with communication protocols like AS2, SFTP, FTP, and VANs.

Knowledge of other data formats such as XML, JSON, and flat files.

Experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP) for system integration.

Basic SQL skills for data querying and validation.

Familiarity with the Kibo Commerce platform.

Experience with Java or scripting languages (like Python) is a plus.
