Job Description

Role Overview:

Ecommerce Reconciliation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order & Payment Reconciliation

Reconcile orders, returns, refunds, and cancellations across marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc.).
Match marketplace settlements with internal reports and payment cycles.
Identify variances such as short payments, penalty deductions, or missing payouts.

2. Fee & Commission Verification

Verify commission charges, shipping fees, TCS/TDS, and other deductions.
Ensure marketplace fee structures are correctly applied.
Validate GST components and identify incorrect charges.

3. Inventory & Return Reconciliation

Track inward/outward inventory and match with marketplace records.
Reconcile customer returns, warehouse returns (RTV), and damaged/lost items.
Follow up with marketplaces for claims related to damages or lost inventory.

4. Claims & Dispute Management

Raise disputes/claims for short payments, incorrect fee charges, or lost inventory.
Track status of claims and follow up for timely resolution.

5. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain reconciliation trackers and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
Share settlement summaries with the Finance team for accurate accounting.
Highlight trends, issues, and discrepancies proactively.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Good understanding of ecommerce operations and settlement cycles.
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Basic formulas).
Experience with ecommerce panels/reconciliation tools is an advantage.
Ability to work with large datasets and identify discrepancies.
