Ecommerce - Front End Architect

As a Front End Architect for the Ecommerce team in Bangalore and Thiruvananthapuram, your role involves conceptualizing and defining the client-side architecture of a state-of-the-art real-time e-commerce software product. You will lead the implementation to ensure optimal performance across browsers, operating systems, languages, and devices, thereby enhancing the shopping experience for customers and driving innovation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Accountable for the strategic and tactical direction of the front-end architecture solution for a new software product suite - Lead technology selection and framework building based on approved wireframes or design concepts - Recommend tools, technologies, and best practices to streamline development, reduce UI defects, and enhance the maintainability of the customer experience - Evaluate front-end performance metrics and propose improvements to enhance client-side performance and page-load time - Develop wireframes and prototypes for review by project stakeholders and the development team - Define and oversee the Front End technical roadmap for the product - Research, assess, and introduce new technologies to optimize performance **Qualifications Required:** - 5-7 years of front-end engineering experience on a moderately to heavily trafficked website - 2 years of experience as a Lead Front-End Architect - Proficiency in client architecture and development - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JS, AJAX, and OOP concepts - Proficient in Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring, MVC (Spring, JSP, JSTL), CSS2, CSS3, JQuery, AngularJS, and Ajax - Deep understanding of evolving HTML5 utilities for future web applications - Familiarity with SOAP and REST APIs, with experience in writing REST API clients - Experience with web template engines, web container configuration and tuning, CMS, and portal architecture - Ability to address aspects such as Shopping Cart, Content Management, Workflow management, Localization, Site performance, and scalability - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills **Must-Have Expertise In:** - Javascript technologies - JQuery - MVC - Spring MVC - Web Analytics - Mobile Web/App technologies - Social Media Integration - Web container configuration/tuning - CMS - Web Template frameworks **Added Advantage:** - Knowledge of analytic tracking - Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks - Familiarity with GUI testing technologies and techniques - Understanding of Mobile Web/App development - Knowledge of Internet Marketing Methods and Agile SDLC (SCRUM) - Experience in Responsive Design and implementation of market-leading packages in various functional areas This role requires a Bachelor's degree in B.Sc, B.Com, M.Sc, MCA, B.E, or B.Tech.
