Mandatory Skills Required:

• Laytime Calculations
• Pre/Post fixture operation
• Liaising with vessel agents
• Liaising with shipper
• Laytime finalization
• Final assessment of Import Bill of entries with custom after laytime finalization
• Supporting chartering manager in dry cargo chartering
• 5+ years of experience in shipping | Cargo Chartering in dry bulk segment
• Knowledge of shipping documentation, chartering terms, Incoterms, and trade practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to shipping ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• MIS of vessel chartered

Job Role

Operations Support

• Assist in planning and monitoring dry bulk vessel schedules, loadings, and discharges.
• Coordinate with ship owners, charterers, agents, and port authorities for smooth vessel turnaround.
• Support in voyage instructions, bunkering updates, and operational follow-ups.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and verify shipping documents (BL, LOI, cargo manifests, certificates, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company standards.
• Maintain records of contracts, fixtures, laytime calculations, and demurrage/dispatch accounts.

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with suppliers, customers, surveyors, and clearing agents regarding cargo handling.
• Track vessel positions and update stakeholders on voyage progress.
• Support negotiations and fixture confirmations with brokers/charterers when required.

Data & Reporting

• Maintain updated records of vessel performance, voyage data, and operational expenses.
• Assist in preparing MIS reports, shipping dashboards, and cost analysis.
• Support in budgeting and operational efficiency reviews.

Administrative & Other Duties

• Handle correspondence with shipping partners and internal stakeholders.
• Provide support in claims handling and arbitration documentation (if required).
• Assist senior shipping executives in ad-hoc projects.
