Ensure adherence to U.S. accounting standards (U.S. GAAP), tax regulations, and corporate financial policies. Collaborate with cross-border finance teams (India and Canada) for consolidation and management reporting. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not mandatory). Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or service-based industries . Good to have additional knowledge of U.S. GAAP and inter-company accounting . Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis skills. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a multi-entity environment. Shift Timing: 6:30 PM 3:30 AM ( Night Shift - India Time) Location: Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, India ( US and Canada Freight Forwarding Operations) Male candidate only Monday to Friday (Weekend support only in special cases) Job Description Position Overview The Executive / Assistant Manager LCL Imports will manage end-to-end LCL, console, and courier import operations for shipments moving to the USA market. The role requires close coordination with carriers, CFS operators, pricing teams, customs brokers, trucking vendors, and customers. The primary responsibility is to ensure timely documentation, customs readiness, efficient delivery planning, and seamless shipment execution. This is a night-shift role aligned with US time zones. Key Responsibilities 1. Shipment Monitoring & Coordination Monitor LCL, consolidation, and courier shipments to ensure smooth cargo movement. Track shipment milestones continuously from origin to final delivery. Share regular shipment status updates with customers and internal teams. 2. Documentation & Arrival Readiness Ensure all documents (HBL, MBL, invoice, packing list, ISF docs, customs docs) are accurate and received before shipment arrival. Share arrival notices with customers and internal teams. Raise disputes immediately when discrepancies are found (weight, charges, storage, etc.). Coordinate with the pricing team to address and resolve disputes promptly. 3. Customs Coordination Send customs documents to the customs team/broker. Ensure customs clearance is completed before the shipment arrives at the base port or facility. Track clearance status and escalate delays proactively. 4. Billing, Payment & CFS Coordination Ensure invoices are generated on time and sent to customers. Follow up for payment collection as per the credit terms. Coordinate with CFS for availability, storage, holds, and devanning status. Arrange trucking before the shipment becomes available at CFS / final CFS. 5. Last-Mile Delivery & POD Management Schedule delivery appointments based on customer instructions and facility requirements. Arrange trucking and dispatch shipments on time. Track delivery continuously until completion. Ensure PODs are collected and shared internally and with customers. 6. Communication & Customer Service Maintain clear communication with customers, internal teams, CFS operators, trucking vendors, and carriers. Respond to emails promptly within the defined night-shift SLAs. Maintain professional handling of all customer accounts and ensure smooth service execution. Required Skills & Qualifications 25 years of experience in LCL import operations (USA trade preferred). Strong understanding of CFS processes, arrival notices, customs documentation, and last-mile coordination. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal English).
