Job Description

The driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a vehicle to transport goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent driving skills. Key Responsibilities: Transportation: Safely transport goods or passengers to and from specified destinations in a timely manner. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure its proper functioning. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor or maintenance team. Route Planning: Plan and follow the best routes to ensure timely deliveries or arrivals, accounting for traffic, weather conditions, and road closures. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transit. Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies, including maintaining a valid driver's license and necessary certifications. Skills and Qualifications: Valid driver’s license (appropriate class for the vehicle being operated). Clean driving record (no major violations or accidents). Proven experience as a driver (experience in relevant industry, such as delivery, transportation, or passenger services). Knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations. Ability to perform routine vehicle checks and minor maintenance. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines and schedules.
